A shop, a torch,
and a stack of steel.
Tony Wright spent his career in cargo-trailer management before he and his son Caleb started Rock Solid in 2017: twenty acres bought from the local development authority in Douglas, and the first trailers rolling off the line that June. The plan was simple: build them heavier than the industry asked for.
That means steel tube main frames. 16″ on-center tube sidewalls. A five-year structural warranty on every unit. The kind of build that shows up years down the road, loaded.
Within three years the facility had doubled to roughly forty acres, with more than a hundred people from the Douglas community on the payroll, building 35 to 40 trailers a day, and still not selling a single unit direct.
That's the part we won't change. The dealer is the local face of the brand. They know the lots, the trucks, the laws, the people. We build. They sell. Everybody stays better at what they do.
